DACA

The Trump administration has finally ruled that new recipients for DACA will not be accepted. This puts many teens and young adults in a vulnerable situation because they are blocked from protection. As mentioned in previous articles, many of these immigrant children migrate to the United States a young age, therefore, should have the same rights as an American.

Farmworkers during Covid-19

The entire United States is going through a difficult time during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many have needs and have to work even through this crisis because it is a necessity. According to Immigration Impact, “the dangers to America’s farmworkers—primarily immigrant men from Mexico with temporary H-2A visas—have long persisted under a system that is ripe for abuse.

DACA

Many children who come at a very young age to the United States should be entitled to receive benefits just like the US citizen children; they’ve lived there entire lives here they should have some sort of protection. The Trump Administration has tried to stump new applications from being accepted and it has caused a major issue to those who are trying to apply for the first time for the deferred action.

Safe Country

The United States has always been known for being a safe place for many people around the world to come into feeling protected. In a recent article published by Immigration Impact, “A Canadian court has ruled that the United States is no longer a country to which the Canadian government could safely return asylum seekers who crossed the U.S-Canada land border.” Canada asks that any Canadian that enters the US be sent back to the country; this will occur until January 2021.

Illegal Immigrants Do Not Count

In a recent article posted by the The Hill, stated that the Trump Administration addressed they would implement a new regulation during the next census that would exclude all illegal immigrants. This is inhumane and it is something that will cause a major issue in the country. It seems like the US is trying to cause a war between citizens and those who are non-citizens of the US. The world is already facing a hardship; we do not need to add more hate into our world by not counting those who live here undocumented.

Corona Virus impacts Immigration

Covid-19 has caused a lot of stain on many individuals and especially on immigrants attempting to make it over to the US. According to Fox News, “More than 88,000 immigrants trying to enter the U.S. illegally have been turned back since a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) emergency health order in response to the corona virus that allows for illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to be quickly removed from the U.S".

Trump has ordered that even those who are seeking asylum from their countries be turned back.

Immigration Halt

The trump administration is looking for ways to halt the immigration and even to prevent legal immigration from happening. This issue has been going on since Trump came into office and sadly many of his propositions have gone into effect. The States is going through a difficult time right now with Covid-19 and Trump only makes things worse and harder for individuals who are seeking for a better life to make that happen.

Census Executive Order

Every 10 years the United States provides us with a census which keeps track of all individuals who live in the US. However, recently he issued a plan that states that the next census, undocumented immigrants will not be included but rather excluded.

Reinstate DACA

DACA has been a controversy since DHS has halted the program. DACA has been utilized by many undocumented individuals who were brought to the states since they were children from deportation. Since Trump came into office, it all changed, he has since stopped new applicants from being able to apply for this program.
