DACA

Many children who come at a very young age to the United States should be entitled to receive benefits just like the US citizen children; they’ve lived there entire lives here they should have some sort of protection. The Trump Administration has tried to stump new applications from being accepted and it has caused a major issue to those who are trying to apply for the first time for the deferred action.

According to an article posted by CNN Politics, “The Trump administration will not accept new applications for the Obama-era program that shields from deportation certain undocumented immigrants who came to the US as children and will limit renewals to one year instead of two while it reviews the program, the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday”. The renewals should continue to happen, we know the US is trying to halt immigration but these individuals who have DACA or want to apply for the first time should be entitled to still renew it.

Trump has recently claimed he is treating DACA recipients differently from illegal immigrants. However, it almost seems like he is treating individuals who apply for DACA just like every other immigrant.
