Citizenship Backlog

With all the recent changes there has been in the immigration system; the regulations have caused a major delay with processing citizenship applications all around the United States. According to Immigration Impact, because Trump has made many changed in the system many will not be able to vote in this years election. “Now, an estimated 300,000 people will not be able to take the citizenship oath—the final step in the naturalization process—by the October 13 voter registration deadline”. It makes us wonder if perhaps this is being done purposely so new citizens are not able to establish a vote.
