Asylum seekers in the state of New York have always had a higher ability to obtain their asylum than in other states around the U.S. However, since the Trump administration came into office it has become a difficult process and they have irrefutably denied several applications.

In a recent article published by The Guardian, explains U.S immigration authorities prevented doctors from vaccinating migrant children who were detained. This, however, is an issue that causes the death of immigrant individuals who are behind bars.

Under no circumstances should the government allow this to happen, though these individuals are being held in custody it does not give the U.S the right to refuse proper health care to them an especially to children.

In a recent article published, it is said that immigrants who are currently detained and those who are out of detention centers will be allowed to sue the private prisons due to the threats they were being held under if they were to not complete the labor work demanded by these prisons.

The separation of families at the border has been a major issue since early 2016 when the Zero Tolerance Policy came into effect. This meant any immigrant who was caught crossing the border illegally would be prosecuted without taking into consideration that the individual had children, was pregnant, or had medical issues.

In a recent article by Immigration Impact, it said that though the government was not properly prepared to track the separations of migrant families they still went ahead with making these separations happen.

This idea first came to light when the Trump Administration said they would implement the Zero Tolerance Policy for any immigrant individual that would cross the border illegally, these individuals would then be prosecuted and charged with unlawful entry to the United states.

In recent news, in an article titled, Trump Administration Begins Sending Asylum Seeker to Guatemala, this past Tuesday under a new rule the U.S. has decided to send back asylum seekers from Honduras and El Salvador back to Guatemala. Unbelievably the U.S government has come to an agreement to send asylum seekers without their consent back to Guatemala when arriving to the U.S borders without a visa or permission of entry.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has always been tough. In the past year, however, the agency has been behaving in a capricious and cruel manner, according to a report on HBO’s VICE News Tonight.
