Immigrants created Covid-19 Vaccine

It is ironic to think that the Trump administration has tried effortlessly to prevent immigrants from all around the world, from coming to U.S. Funny enough, the founders of the three most recognized pharmaceutical companies such as BioNTech, Pfizer, and Moderna were all founded by immigrants.

BioNtech was founded by a husband and wife who were both from Turkish origin, Pfizer was founded by an immigrant from Germany and Moderna was founded by immigrants from Canada and Lebanon.

According to a recent article published by Immigration Impact, “data compiled by the New American Economy Research Fund, immigrants account for nearly 25% of all workers in pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing nationwide, as well as more than a quarter of all physicians”. This is especially ronic, given Trump wanted to ban H1B visas for skilled workers. Trump has repeatedly failed to recognize the importance of these immigrant professionals; is he going to ban them from creating this covid-19 vaccine? Thanks to these foreign scientist, many Americans and individuals around the world are relying on the release of this new vaccine to end a world pandemic; lets begin to recognize the important role these foreign born experts play in the United States.
