June 11th marked the day that the funds the Trump Administration were going to use to build the border wall would be used for safety and environmental issues. According to a recent article posted by Immigration Impact, “On his first day in office, President Biden ended the national emergency and paused construction on the border wall. Accountability Office found the pause to be a legitimate programmatic delay for the purpose of reviewing the project’s compliance with environmental laws”.
Though not all may agree that all funding from the wall be taken away; they are agree that the appropriate amount of funding should still be given for this construction. Funds should be used to help the immigration system meet their appropriate needs.
