Revised Filing Location for U Nonimmigrant-Based Form I-485

We would like to inform U nonimmigrants seeking lawful permanent residency that there has been an update regarding the filing location for Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

Henceforth, all U nonimmigrant-based Form I-485 applications must be submitted to the Nebraska Service Center exclusively, and no longer to the Vermont Service Center.

It is crucial to note that applications sent to the Vermont Service Center must be postmarked on or before April 12, 2023. Submissions received after this date will be rejected, and all enclosed materials, including application forms and secure identity documents, will be returned to the specified safe address, preferred address, or the address of the attorney or accredited representative if indicated on the accompanying Form G-28.
