USCIS Clarifies Work Authorization for Students:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has released clarified policy guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual regarding the validity period of employment authorization for F-1 nonimmigrant students under Special Student Relief (SSR) provisions. This clarification addresses situations of severe economic hardship due to emergent circumstances.

USCIS Expands ADIT Mailings:

USCIS has introduced an additional mail delivery process for lawful permanent residents to obtain temporary evidence of their status, eliminating the need for a physical visit to a field office for the Alien Documentation, Identification, and Telecommunication (ADIT) stamp, commonly known as an I-551 stamp.

INA Definitions Part 4

The text outlines special provisions for the treatment of certain individuals as immediate relatives within the context of immigration law, particularly in cases where a citizen of the United States dies due to military service-related circumstances.

INA Definitions Part 3

The global allocation of employment-based immigrants is determined annually, guided by specific provisions. For each fiscal year, the baseline level is set at 140,000 (A). This baseline is then adjusted based on a computed figure (B), detailed in paragraph (2).

In fiscal year 1992, the computation specified in paragraph (2)(A) results in a zero allocation.
