Important Notice: Revised Premium Processing Fees in Effect Today

Release Date: 02/26/2024!

As previously communicated, the updated premium processing fees, adjusted for inflation, by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are now in effect starting today. The filing fee for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, has been increased. This modification was officially published through a final rule on December 28, 2023.

The USCIS Stabilization Act grants the authority to establish and adjust premium processing fees every two years. After maintaining these fees unchanged for three years following the Act's passage, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has now adjusted the premium processing fees for all eligible forms and categories to reflect inflation from June 2021 through June 2023 based on the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. The adjustment results in certain premium processing fees changing from $1,500 to $1,685, $1,750 to $1,965, and $2,500 to $2,805.

Forms received by USCIS with a postmark on or after February 26, 2024, containing an incorrect filing fee on Form I-907 will be rejected, and the filing fee will be returned. For submissions sent via commercial courier services (e.g., UPS, FedEx, and DHL), the postmark date corresponds to the date on the courier receipt.

The increased revenue generated by the premium processing fee will be allocated to enhance premium processing services, improve adjudication processes, address adjudication demands, including reducing processing backlogs for benefit requests, and support USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.

The adjusted fees are outlined in the following table:
