They explain that immigrants fill important skill gaps by bringing in fresh talent, which was missing in the local population, to boost the economy as they are engaged in diverse business activities.

The Biden administration has changed enough policies in its recent tenure that include strategic closures of the border and revised asylum procedures, bringing down illegal border crossings drastically. That is just some of what went into having control over the surge of migrants and dealing with intricate humanitarian and political issues at the southern border.

The Jacumba Hot Springs, California, portion of the US-Mexico border has become a gateway for migrants crossing from countries as diverse as Colombia and Jordan, among others. Families, many with small children, are relegated to difficult conditions while they wait to be processed by the Border Patrol.

Immigrants have, for so long, been the underestimated but crucial component of the human side of the U.S. economy—one that exudes an honing effect on the growth of jobs and economic stability. Recent studies conducted by CNBC clearly highlight the contributions made by immigrants to the economy through their deleterious role in such sectors as technology, healthcare, agriculture, and construction.

The new executive order is supposed to control the surge of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border by making asylum seekers jump through more hoops, including applying for protection in other countries before getting to the U.S. The goal is to reduce illegal crossings and manage the border better.

House Democrats Establish 'Border Security Task Force' to Interface "Dystopian" Trump Policy Plans House Democrats have now established a new task force charged with battling the "dystopian" policy plans of former President Donald Trump. Known as the Democrats for Border Security Task Force, the new group boasts 26 House Democrats as its members and is co-chaired by Representatives Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, and Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y. The task force is working towards solving persisting immigration and border security issues that have since grown to a fever pitch as the 2024 elections get closer.

Migrant Smuggler News

Panama launched an interagency operation aimed at stopping illegal migration across the dangerous Darién Gap, a dense jungle area on its border with Colombian. In coordination with the U.S. and Colombia, it intends to break up human smuggling networks which made possible for hundreds of thousands of migrants -mainly going to the United States- to pass through this dangerous land.
