New Bills

Recently, the house passed two new bills that protect those who are non-citizens of the United Sates. The first bill is to protect individuals from being discriminated due to their religion, also known as the No Ban Act. Meaning, if a person was being banned from entry into the US, the government would require specific evidence as to why this ban was necessary against this individual.

The second bill that was passed, Access To Counsel Act provides protection to citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees and visa holders when being put through secondary inspection. This means that if a person entering the United States is subject to another inspection the person would have the right to an attorney at that point. These bills that recently passed are an important step to bettering our immigration system and we are hopeful more bills pass that are beneficial to immigration.
