Deportation Halted

Back in 2017, during Trump’s first year in office, he signed an executive order which announced the expansion of immigration enforcement. Meaning, many were at risk of deportation. This executive order also allowed states to enforce federal immigration laws which caused issues. At first, this targeted ALL immigrants but then it changed, and it later targeted those who were in the past convicted of a criminal offense, had been charged with a criminal offense, engaged in fraudulent actions, etc. No one felt safe, because it seemed as though the targets were the most vulnerable in the country.

Now that the country has a new President, things are slowly looking up. Deportations have been ordered to be put to a halt which brings relief to many. Biden has definitely brought hope to our country and is looking to restore all the damage that the Trump administration caused, not only to the country but also to all the immigrant individuals.
