Data Collection

According to an article published by Immigration Impact, DHS has recently announced they are going to collect more date during biometrics appointments. Biometrics already collects data informing immigration about the person. But this new regulation may put many in a very vulnerable situation. “These unnecessary changes further the administration’s narrative that immigrants are inherently dangerous, create permanent law enforcement records of deeply personal information for millions of people”.

DHS claims this will help child trafficking and human trafficking. The better and deeper data they collect from immigrants the better chance they have at signaling who is and isn’t eligible to stay in the US.

This is just one more of many regulations the government is imposing to supposedly make the United States a safer country.
