TPS For Venezuela

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has ended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Venezuela that was created in 2021. After reviewing current conditions in Venezuela, DHS determined the country no longer qualifies for TPS.

This decision takes effect on November 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., which is 60 days after the official notice was published. At that time, individuals covered under the 2021 TPS designation will lose their protection unless they have another legal status in the United States.

Those without another lawful basis to remain must prepare to leave the U.S. or risk losing their legal status. DHS has directed affected individuals to USCIS resources and the CBP mobile app for more guidance on departure.
